Silk Street Woman Charged with Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon

A 23-year-old Silk Street woman allegedly broke a picture frame and vase in her residence Sunday night and then cut a man with one of the shards of glass.
Elizabeth Desta was arrested at about 10:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 11, and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. She told police that she was acting in self-defense.
