Pedestrian Hit By Van at Dudley and Grove Streets

The crash happened at about 4:20 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26.

A pedestrian was crossing the street Saturday afternoon when he was struck by a van taking a right onto Dudley Street from Grove Street, according to police.

The pedestrian, who was taken to Cambridge Hospital with back pain, told police that he thought the driver was letting him cross. He said he was having trouble remembering all of the details of the crash.

The driver said he didn’t see the pedestrian. He said he believes he hit him with his driver’s side mirror.

Police cited the driver for operating to endanger and failing to slow for a pedestrian.
