Home Break-In on Silk Street

The break-in occurred during the day on Friday, Nov. 8.

A Silk Street woman returned home at about 1:50 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, and immediately called police after finding that a door leading to her basement had been forced open.

The woman told police that she also possibly heard someone in her residence. Later, she discovered that two screens on her basement windows had been cut and one of the windows had been kicked in as well.

Police set up a perimeter but were unable to locate any suspects.

After a search of the home, the woman said that various jewelry and electronic equipment had been taken. A number of bedroom drawers had also been gone through, police said.

The woman had left the home at about 8:15 a.m. that morning.
