Police responded to a Grove Street apartment Saturday night for a report of a break-in.
The resident told police that he had been out from noon to about 10:30 p.m. Saturday. He said he had returned home to find that his front door had been forced open.
He said some watches and jewelry totaling about $1,500 and some prescription medications had been taken.
