Dogs Lock Themselves in Car on Mass. Ave., Police Get Them Out

Despite the heat, the dogs appeared to be OK, police said.

A woman called police to Mass. Ave., outside the Mill Brook Animal Clinic, Monday afternoon after her two dogs locked themselves in the car and her out.

The woman said she had just gotten out of the car and was about to let her dogs out when one of them locked the vehicle from the inside.

An Arlington police officer responded to the scene and was able to gain access to the car.

The dogs had been in the vehicle for about 25-30 minutes on the 80-degree day but appeared to be OK, police said. They were taken to Mill Brook Animal Clinic to be evaluated.
