“Becoming a Love and Logic Parent”
and Setting Limits:
This workshop offers a perspective that allows parents to look at the purpose
of setting limits with love, empathy and compassion.  Concrete strategies are offered for
maintaining dignity and self-esteem while defining and implementing acceptable
behavior.  A review of enforceable
statements, thinking words vs fighting words, choices and  consequences are discussed.  

 Presenter: Through her company Grow A Strong Family, Mara Briere
delivers family life education services including family coaching, parenting education
and substance abuse counseling.  Mara has
a Master’s degree and a nationally recognized certification in Family Life
Education, as well as credentials in other evidence-based practices including
Parenting with Love and Logic, Core Communication and the Myers-Briggs Type
Indicator.  Mara is also certified in
substance abuse counseling.  Mara’s
specialty  is working with families with
loved ones with mental health disorders or chemical addictions.  Her focus is on education , prevention and
skill development.
