ReplyPedro,
Please delete Blog Sprague' access to this website. I am tired of reading his endless posts that point to his own BLOG.
It is like he is trying to compete with Patch, a true news source.
He is not a newsman. Rather, he is a poseur.

ReplyPedro,
Pay no attention to Blog's posts. He is quick to find fault with a true news website...
I'm surprised he didn't post a link to his blog.
Keep up the good work!!!

ReplyHow about this for an opening all-inclusive charge, Blog:
Violating a student's constitutional right to privacy by openly publishing information which could be easily used to discern said student's
a.) name
b.) place of residence
c.) status as a Special Education Student. All one would need is a copy of a school's student directory and that map which you published, to figure out all (3) item's above.
Really, Blog, as a "newsman" you should be more careful.

Wow, Stav...
It would seem as though the school committee keeps burning itself by releasing "backdoor" information to Blog Sprague.
When will they learn not to trust a blogger with his own private agenda (ie driving up hit counts on his blog)?
With "friends" like Sprague, the SC will soon find themselves out jobs, and perhaps find themselves litigants in lawsuits...
We might be anonymous, Blog, but it is you who is the phony!!! (Newsman that is)

The school department should be ashamed of themselves for sending a highly confidential document to a private blogger (ie Blog Sprague)
Just goes to show what happens when the "favorite mouthpiece" of the town is used to disseminate information.... He can't even discern what is confidential and should not be "published" on his blog...
I smell a potential lawsuit.

ReplyHey Mandy, Senor Douchebag here.
This topic has nothing to do with "who" stays home to raise the children. I never implied that it should be the woman. I honestly don't feel that way. If the main wage earner is the lady of the house, then by all means, let the man stay home and raise his children.
Since you posted about "having it all", I would like to explore that topic. You and your husband chose to bring life into this world. I applaud that decision. However, with your choice comes great responsibility. What does "having it all" mean if you are not there to love and nurture your child 24/7? In the long run, nobody it going to love your kid as much as you and your husband do. To me, being there for your son is "having it all". As it now stands, your nanny spends more "waking" time with your son than you do. Hence, she is indeed raising him.
I understand that we are all under great financial stress these days. However, what are you willing to financially sacrifice to be there for your son during his most formative years?
Life is full of trade-offs. If neither your husband or yourself wanted to put your careers "on hold", then perhaps having a family was not the right choice for you at this time.
As for me being a "hater", you are the one who chose to blog about "having it all". If you are not willing to take the obvious criticisms of your choice, then blogging isn't for you.

Nanci,
I never said that there were 80 METCO kindergarteners... I said there are 80 incoming ARLINGTON kindergarteners.
My position is that these incoming kindergarteners will need classroom seats and resources that are currently being used by the METCO program.

I agree with Harrington. Curro should resign his current SC seat.
What sort of Nincompoop runs for one elected position fully knowing that his desired position (ie BoS) will be open one year AFTER the SC election.
He then will walk away from his SC post with TWO years left in his term. This will leave his cronies free to appoint another HACK.
Arlington "insider" politics are so depressing.
