Dan Bell
I am very pleased to be the technology columnist for Arlington Patch. I was born and raised in Long Island, NY, and attended college in Boston (Berklee College of Music '95). I always wanted to move to Boston and I got my chance in 2000, and have been living here ever since. I moved to Arlington in 2006 and could not be happier living in this fine town.
Although educated in Music Production and Audio Engineering, I quickly realized there was a far more lucrative opportunity in computers and technology and I have been working in that business for 13 years now. I have worked for various software companies and consulting firms, have delivered numerous presentations at industry conferences and trade shows, and have written articles in numerous industry publications. Additionally, I have written and delivered numerous training courses for enterprise software products. It would be hard to like my job if I wasn't very excited about technology in general, and I'm considered by most people who know me to be a "tech geek". Collecting and playing with the latest technology is a hobby of mine, and contrary to popular belief it is no more expensive a hobby than golf! I also still enjoy music, and I am always inspired by how technology and music work together. I am married and I live in East Arlington. Please feel free to email me or contact me at any time!
