Arlington Woman's Baby First Born at Winchester Hospital in 2013

Hunter Joseph was born at 2:15 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1.

An Arlington woman's New Year's baby was the first baby born at Winchester Hospital in 2013, according to a hospital press statement. Hunter Joseph was born to Melissa Parziale of Arlington and Michael Sampson of Stoneham at 2:15 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1, according to the statement. Hunter weighed 8 pounds, 10 ounces and was 21 ½ inches long. Parziale was at Winchester Hospital since Monday when her water broke 10 minutes before the New Year’s Eve ball dropped. She quickly went into labor and Hunter was born a few hours later, according to the statement. “The original due date was today, so I thought there was a chance the baby would be coming on New Year’s,” Parziale said through the hospital. Police Log: Man Taken to Winchester Hospital After Crash

The following information comes to the Arlington Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

On Tuesday, a man was taken to Winchester Hospital for treatment after his vehicle’s door was swiped by another car. The driver of the moving vehicle said he was traveling southbound on Park Avenue when he heard a crashing sound. He looked over and saw a parked vehicle with its door partially open and noticed his own right-side mirror broken, according to the police report. The man pulled over, made contact with the other driver and called Arlington Police. The second driver said he had parked his car and did not look in his mirror before opening the door. The door closed on his leg, the man told police.
