Hundreds came to Stoneham Monday afternoon to pay their respects to the late MIT officer.
Flags at half-staff, a police caravan leading a hearse and the Patriot Guard Riders lining Main Street in Red, White and Blue. A long, almost silent trail of mourners waiting to enter a local funeral home and a row of TV news trucks. Julia Stiles has been shooting her made-for-TV movie, “The Makeover,” throughout Boston this month, and now her project has landed next door to Arlington – in Somerville. Crews were scheduled to shoot at “inside locations” on Hudson Street, which parallels Highland Avenue just south of Davis Square in Somerville, Thursday and Friday, according to an announcement the city sent to neighbors. One neighbor who observed the film crew’s set-up said filming would take place at a house near the intersection of Hudson and Lowell streets. Rev. Paul A. LaCharite, 65, of Boston, was arrested Friday afternoon. He served as a minster at Saint James Episcopal Church in Somerville's Teele Square, and the alleged assaults began in the 1990s, according to the Middlesex District Attorney.
A former minister at Saint James Episcopal Church in Somerville's Teele Square, near the Arlington town line, has been arrested and accused of sexual assault on a child, according to an announcement from the Middlesex District Attorney's office. Rev. Paul A. LaCharite, 65, of Boston, was arrested Friday afternoon. The alleged assault began in the 1990s and took place over the course of 10 years, the announcement says. According to the announcement, Somerville police are investigating the case and are asking that anyone with information contact them at 617-625-1212 ext. 7220 or the Middlesex District Attorney’s child abuse unit at 781-897-8400.
