Citizens for Limited Taxation PAC Endorses Tomi Olson for State. Rep.

Olson is a Republican candidate in the 24th Middlesex District.

The following is from the Tomi Olson campaign. The Tomi Olson campaign is thrilled to announce that the Citizens for Limited Taxation PAC has endorsed her candidacy for State Representative in the 24th Middlesex District. Unlike her opponents in this race, Tomi believes that we can provide essential services without placing increasing burden on taxpayers. Tomi understands that we need to increase the number of taxpayers not raise taxes. To do that we must foster an environment conducive to growth and job creation. Yet under the current policies being pursued by the Beacon Hill establishment we are doing just the opposite. Just last week we learned that Massachusetts lost another 4,800 jobs and the unemployment rate is going up again. If …

Jim Gammill Kicks Off Campaign

The Belmont candidate for state rep in the 24th Middlesex District recently launched his independent run to Beacon Hill.

When Independent candidate Jim Gammill needed a few friends to vouch for him at his official kick-off Saturday, Sept. 8, of his campaign for state representative,  well, as Stephen Sondheim wrote in the musical “Company”: “When you have friends like these …” There was the high-profile Democrat who just got back helping prep speakers at the party’s national convention in Charlotte, enough members of the town’s Warrant Committee for a quorum and more Belmont big wigs then you could shake a stick at. Oh, and did I mention the Episcopal Bishop of Massachusetts taking home a Gammill lawn sign? Talk about friends in high places. Amidst balloons, home-made banners, an array of cupcakes provided by his friend and neighbor, Quebrada Baking Company …

Republican Congressional Candidates: War Chest Balances?

Jeff Semon and Frank Addivinola face off in Sept. 6's primary for the right to challenge Democratic Congressman Ed Markey. Here's how their campaign finances look.

Congressional Hopeful Jeff Semon Launches Spanish Language Site

A Lexington Republican seeking to unseat Democrat Ed Markey in the 5th District, Jeff Semon says "common sense knows no language or ethnic barrier," in announcing the launch of jeffen2012.com

During campaign season, candidates choose their words wisely. And Lexington Republican Jeff Semon, a congressional candidate in Massachusetts' Fifth District, hopes one letter can make a difference as he attempts to unseat Democrat Ed Markey. In an attempt to reach more residents in more communities, Semon has launched jeffen2012.com, a Spanish language campaign website he says is the first by a major candidate in Massachusetts. His standard website is jeffin2012.com. “Today is the beginning of the end of empty promises and political pandering to the voters of Massachusetts’ 5th District.” Semon said in a statment. The website debut, a move touted by party officials, came earlier this month  in Framingham when Semon partnered with Mary Z. …
