5 Things You Need To Know Today

Four Big-Time Events in Arlington This Weekend

If you’re staying in town this weekend, there is no shortage of things to do.

Today is Friday, March 22. Here are five things you need to know. 1.) EcoFest: The town’s annual EcoFest is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in Town Hall Auditorium. This year’s theme is “EcoFootprints: Arlington People, Places, Spaces.” The event will feature tables and demonstrations staffed by local vendors and environmental groups. Five Things: Don't Forget About EcoFest

Today is Wednesday, March 28. Here are five things you need to know:

1. It might rain today, most likely sometime between 1 and 5 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. Today’s high is 53 degrees. 2. The fourth annual EcoFest is this Saturday, March 31, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Town Hall Auditorium (see the attached photos from last year's EcoFest). Sustainable Arlington Gears Up for Ecofest

Committee discusses Home Energy Check Campaign through the Mass Climate Action Network (MCAN) and preparing for March's Ecofest.

Sustainable Arlington is hoping to educate residents on energy consumption and a Home Energy Check Campaign may be just the ticket. The Massachusetts Climate Action Network (MCAN) recently approached Sustainable Arlington to help with their Home Energy Check Campaign throughout 52 towns in Massachusetts. MCAN's outreach program hopes to educate Massachusetts residents about private energy consumption and provide ways for citizens to decrease their personal energy use. MCAN has set up a survey on its website for Massachusetts residents to fill out in order to accrue a surge of data. This data can then be analyzed in order for MCAN to better approach how to lower overall energy consumption throughout Massachusetts. MCAN is hoping that the …
