About 9:30 on Tuesday, police responded to Highland Avenue near Robbins Farm Park for a report of a break-in of a motor vehicle. The caller told police her husband’s company vehicle, a gray Ford Escape, was broken into some time between 7:30 and 8 p.m, and that an iPod valued at $300 was stolen. She said she didn’t hear or see anything suspicious overnight. Police noted it was unclear what was used to break the passenger side window. It appeared the Ford Escape was the only affected vehicle, according to the police report. Later that night, this time on 54 Medford St., near Mt. A Malden man was arrested Wednesday and charged in connection with a home break-in in Arlington and breaking into a Winchester home on Saturday. Nolan Bagley, 23, of Upham Street in Malden was arrested and charged with breaking and entering during the daytime with the intent to commit a felony. Bagley was also charged with assault and battery in connection with a home break-in in Arlington. Bagley allegedly broke into a home in Arlington and wrestled the homeowner to the ground, according to Winchester Police Lieutenant Peter MacDonnell. “We had Reading officers watching his girlfriend’s house,” MacDonnell said of the arrest. “He showed up there this afternoon and we arrested him.” Police said they also arrested Jonathan Noble Schopper, 23…

About 5:45 a.m. on Tuesday, an Arlington police officer responded to a complaint of a motor vehicle break-in on North Union Street. The victim said her black coach wallet with about $50 and some miscellaneous credit cards had been taken. The woman added an unknown amount of loose change was taken from the dashboard. Also on Tuesday, police received a report of another vehicle on North Union Street that was broken into sometime during the night. The victim said he was unsure if the vehicle was locked. He added some quarters were missing. A third person told police someone entered her car and took two cell phone charges and some loose change. The victim said the chargers were worth about $60. Duo suspected of breaking into more than a dozen homes in the area.
The crime ring that has been terrorizing Winchester neighborhoods with more than a dozen home break-ins over the past few weeks may have been put to an end. On Saturday, Jonathan Noble Schopper, 23, and Michelle Trentor, 24, both of Arlington, were arrested and charged with receiving stolen property and breaking and entering during the daytime with the intent to commit a felony . Two homes, one in Winchester and one in Arlington, were broken into earlier in the day. “We believe they are the ones involved in the breaks earlier Saturday afternoon,” said Winchester Police Lt.
