Angelina’s Pastry is open from 7 a.m. to noon on Thanksgiving morning. Broadway Diner is open from 7-11 a.m. on Thanksgiving morning. Flora is hosting its First Thanksgiving from 1-7 p.m. on Thanksgiving. It’s a three-course, prix-fixe menu, $50 per person, $25 for children under 10. Ristorante Olivio is also open on Thanksgiving and hosting a Thanksgiving dinner. Punjab is open from 1-9 p.m. on Thanksgiving. Closed All town offices and both the Robbins and Fox libraries are closed today. The office will remain closed Friday, but the libraries will reopen.

One of the most classic dog puzzle toys around is the Kong, a durable rubber toy with a hollow center which comes in a variety of sizes and strengths, to suit nearly any dog on the planet. Do you need a little extra convincing about shopping locally this year? Here are a few.
Arlington is filled with local shops and plenty of gift options for this holiday season. The Board of Selectmen has approved free parking around town on Saturdays so folks can shop without worrying about filling the meter. And according to the Arlington Chamber of Commerce, $68 out of every $100 spent in local businesses stay here, as opposed to only $43 spent at non-local businesses. Those facts alone sound like great reasons to avoid big box stores and stay in town to shop. But some of us still need a little extra convincing. So here are 10 more great reasons, from the Arlington Chamber of Commerce, why we should try to patronize our many locally owned stores:

Arlington Catholic (9-1) faced off against in-town rival Arlington High School (3-8) Thanksgiving morning in their annual matchup. Coming off of a season in which they remained undefeated until a loss in the title match against Cardinal Spellman, Arlington Catholic was looking to capitalize on the Spy Ponders' three-win season and avenge their 42-14 loss to AHS last Thanksgiving. They did just that. Not allowing AHS to put any points on the board until well into the second half, the Cougars held the Spy Ponders at dock and emerged victorious with a 28-7 score.
