Arlington Delegation to File for Storm Relief

The delegation is working to secure funds to help with the clean-up efforts in East Arlington from Wednesday's microburst.

The following is from the office of state Sen. Ken Donnelly. State Sens. Ken Donnelly and Will Brownsberger and Rep. Sean Garballey are working with Gov. Deval Patrick's administration and the legislature to provide funds for the clean-up of the microburst that ravaged through parts of Arlington on Wednesday, July 18. The storm caused severe damage to property and trees in the area, resulting in power outages and the closure of main roadways, sidewalks and the Minuteman Bikeway. “Clearly this is an emergency,” Donnelly said. “As I have traveled around town the last few days, I have seen first-hand the damage that was done and the ongoing intensive cleanup effort that began immediately after the storm hit.
