Arlington Superintendent Kathleen Bodie, Arlington High Interim Principal Mary Villano and acting athletic director Robert DiLoreto will address the high school’s recent athletic forfeitures at tonight’s School Committee meeting, according to the agenda (attached). On Wednesday, Dec. 12, Bodie announced via a press release that the high school would be forfeiting a number of wins from last school year because several student athletes were found to have been academically ineligible under MIAA rules in an investigation by DiLoreto this fall. The Arlington Council on Aging registered senior citizens for the “Fall Safe” campaign. “The phone calls our office received after the event were very revealing to the strong character of the football team and their commitment to giving back to Arlington. The team members were respectful, polite, hard working, and friendly. The seniors really appreciated …

The Arlington High football team was recently awarded eight new helmets, worth $4,000.
The Arlington High football team recently received a grant from USA Football for eight new Revolution Speed Helmets, according to Spy Ponders coach John Dubzinski. Dubzinski, who wrote the grant application, said this is the second straight year his team has received the grant. It saves the town $4,000, he said. “With concussions and player safety the big topic nowadays,” he said, “this grant will be a home run for our program.” Last season, in Dubzinski’s first year as coach, the Spy Ponders went 3-8. Here’s what they’ll be facing in 2012.

He is like a lot of Arlington's politically involved, they use smears whenever you criticize or hold accountable those in authority. The "wogga"'s hope to curry favor with the "in" crowd, probably from a feeling of…   more ›
