Arlington High Sophomore Wins National App Contest

Joseph Romano has received a $20,000 scholarship from Samsung Mobile.

Arlington High sophomore Joseph Romano has won Samsung Mobile’s national app contest. For his app, Better4All, Romano received the grand prize, a $20,000 scholarship, from Samsung, the cell phone company announced Friday. Better4All is “a crowd-sourced service which allows users within a specific region to report and respond to volunteer opportunities within three main categories: road hazards, off-road issues and volunteer positions,” according to a Samsung press release.
