Parking Ban to be Lifted at 5 p.m. Today

The parking ban in East Arlington has been in place since 2 p.m. Friday.

The following is from the Town of Arlington. Starting at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, February 13th the parking ban will be lifted Town-wide. Although the ban will lifted there is still a substantial accumulation of snow and vehicle passage on some roads is limited. Residents are reminded if they have to park on the street to allow 10 feet for passing traffic as per Town bylaws. Failure to do so can result in ticketing and towing Article V Parking, Section 1 (e). Public Works continues targeted snow removal operations around Town. Your continued cooperation helps keep Arlington a safe place for all.

East Arlington Parking Ban in Effect Until Further Notice

The ban will be reassessed Wednesday, according to Town Manager Adam Chapdelaine.

The town has decided to keep the parking ban in East Arlington in place until further notice, according to Town Manager Adam Chapdelaine. The ban will be reassessed Wednesday, he wrote in an email at about 5:15 p.m. today. The decision came after consulting with Arlington police, fire and public works, Chapdelaine wrote. The ban applies to all roads east of Route 60, except for Mass. Ave. and Broadway.

East Arlington Parking Ban in Effect Through Tuesday

The town will reassess the situation then, according to Town Manager Adam Chapdelaine.

The parking ban in East Arlington will remain in effect through Tuesday as the town’s Department of Public Works crews continue widening, or “push-back,” efforts in that part of town, Town Manager Adam Chapdelaine said this afternoon. The town will reassess the situation near the end of the day Tuesday, he said. The ban will be lifted on Broadway at 5 p.m. today. It had applied to all roads east of Route 60, except for Mass. Ave. Trash The town is planning to resume trash and recycling collection Tuesday, beginning with Monday’s pickup. There will be a one-day delay the rest of this week, with Friday’s pickup happening Saturday. Schools (UPDATE 5:23 p.m. The Arlington Public Schools will be open Tuesday. Snow Emergency, Parking Ban Starts at 2 p.m. Friday

The following is from the Town of Arlington. Snow Emergency/Parking Ban Declared For February 8 The Town of Arlington has declared a snow emergency/parking ban, effective Friday, February 8th starting at 2 p.m. This is a major snow event with high winds and heavy snowfall predicted. The ban will be lifted when conditions allow. Another Town Notice will be sent when that happens. During a Snow Emergency, a parking ban is in place on all streets and municipal parking lots. Snow Emergency, Parking Ban In Effect Until 6 a.m. Sunday

A parking ban is in place on all streets and municipal parking lots.

Snow Emergency/Parking Ban Declared For December 29-30 The Town of Arlington has declared a snow emergency effective today, December 29 starting at 6 p.m. (except Mass. Ave., which begins at 11 p.m).  The ban will be lifted on Sunday, December 30th at 6 a.m. During a Snow Emergency a parking ban is in place on all streets and municipal parking lots.  It is crucial to keep cars off the streets during this time to allow the Town to clear the roads.  Any vehicles parked on the streets during these hours will be subject to ticketing and towing.
