Arlington Man Wins Big on Scratch Ticket

See how much he'll be getting every week for the rest of his life.

Arlington’s James P. Gallant will receive $1,000 a week for the rest of his life. Gallant recently claimed the 10th and final grand prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$1,000 A Week For Life” instant game, according to an announcement on the lottery’s website. There is a minimum 20-year guarantee on the prize, which means it’s worth at least $1,040,000, less taxes. Gallant told the lottery he plans to take a vacation someplace warm with the winnings from the $2 scratch ticket. Gallant’s father bought him the ticket at Roche Bros #115 in West Roxbury. The store will receive a $10,400 commission on the sale. Gallant is Arlington’s second big lottery winner in the last few months. In December, 54-year-old Rosa DeLeon split a $33 …

Arlington Woman, Co-Worker Win $50 Million Powerball Jackpot
