Ok, I'll finish. I can't say enough about the quality of the food and our disappointment about the lack of DanDan noodles but I'll stop there on those. The final complaint is that the kitchen is definitely having trouble getting the food out and keeping up with the crowd. New Arlington Heights Restaurant Opening Thursday

The restaurant's menu has 55 lunch specials.

Szechuan’s Dumpling, the new Chinese restaurant in Arlington Heights, is opening Thursday, Feb. 21, according to a sign in one of its front windows. The restaurant, which replaces Jade Garden at 1360 Mass. Ave., had menus available outside Tuesday. Review Szechuan's Dumpling The restaurant’s lengthy menu (296 items in all) includes nine kinds of “dumpling/ravioli,” in addition to a number of beef, chicken, pork, seafood and vegetable dishes. It has 55 lunch specials for $6.95. The lunch specials are served with soup and white rice and are available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. Szechuan’s Dumpling does not have a buffet listed on its menu, but it will deliver (781-648-8882). The restaurant’s hours are Monday-Thursday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., …

Two New Businesses and a Name Change on Selectmen's Agenda

See what new businesses are potentially coming to East Arlington, and which Arlington Heights restaurant is changing its name.

A new gluten/wheat free bakery and a new second-hand store are set to go before the Board of Selectmen Monday evening, according to the board’s agenda (below). It also appears that Jade Garden, the Chinese restaurant in Arlington Heights, is changing its name to Szechuan Dumpling based on the agenda. Something Sweet Without Wheat, the Woburn-based gluten/wheat free bakery, which we’ve written about before, is going for a “Food Vendor License” at the meeting. The bakery, which is going in the old Barismo spot at 169 Mass. Ave. in East Arlington, appears to be close to opening – its storefront looks complete and it seems as though a lot of work has been done on the inside as well.
