Middlesex District Attorney Gerry Leone has announced he will not seek a third term in 2014, according to his office. Leone made the announcement during an awards ceremony with his staff on Jan. 10 "These decisions are, and should be, predicated upon what is best for the person and their family," Leone said in a statement. "What is best for me and my family is that I not seek another term. As someone who is much smarter than I am once said, 'I must be willing to give up what I am, in order to become what I will be.' One of the three people slain in Cambridge over the weekend was an Arlington resident, reports say. According to Middlesex District Attorney Gerry Leone, at about 6:40 p.m. on Friday, Cambridge Police responded to a call for shots fired inside a single family home at 161 Grove St., Cambridge. Upon arriving, officers found three family members had been fatally shot, Leone said. The Boston Globe identified the victims, according to a relative, as: Patrick Pizzuto, 63, his brother, Robert Pizzuto, 52 and their mother, Mary, 91.
