With a majority of town reporting the race is being called for Kenneth Donnelly.
State Sen. Ken Donnelly, D-Arlington, has been re-elected by district voters to continue to represent the Fourth Middlesex District based on the towns that have reported thus far. The district includes the towns of Arlington, Woburn, Lexington, Burlington and Billerica. At this time Woburn, Burlington and Arlington have reported the results of the state senator's re-election bid against Republican challenger Gerry Dembrowski. In Woburn Donnelly took 10,065 votes versus Dembrowski's 6,989. In Burlington he won 7,310 to 4,769. In Lexington, Donnelly tallied 8,239 votes to Dembrowski's 2,664. And in his hometown of Arlington he took a whopping 19,292 to 4,283. Billerica had not reported results at the time of this report. Donnelly was first …

The following is a Letter to the Editor from Sean Harrington, a Precinct 15 Town Meeting member. The progressive Democrats have been running the state for the last 15 years resulting in increases in the size and scope of government, and massive cuts to local aid. The result has been an exodus of good paying jobs, and families fleeing to more friendly states to make their home. This is further shown by the state's loss of a congressional seat. The loss of a congressional seat cannot be denied, and it happened during the control of progressive Democrats in the State Legislature. Both state Rep. Sean Garballey and state Sen. Ken Donnelley in their four years on Beacon Hill have had poor ratings from Citizens for Limited Taxation (CLT), and …
