An Arlington woman is being held on $100,000 bail.
Andrea F. Koutis, a 30-year-old Arlington woman, and Erick G. Stout, 35, of Somerville, were arraigned Friday in Cambridge District Court on charges related to Tuesday’s robbery of the East Cambridge Savings Bank in East Arlington. Koutis was charged with one count of armed robbery, Stout with one count of armed and masked robbery after an investigation late Tuesday night by the Arlington Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Bureau and the FBI’s Bank Robbery Task Force. Koutis and Stout are both being held at the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department Jail on Nashua Street in Boston, according to an Arlington Police Department release. Andrea Koutis and Erik Stout allegedly robbed banks in Arlington and Waltham on Tuesday afternoon.
Update 11 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 9 After an investigation late Tuesday night by FBI, state police and local officers assigned to the bank robbery task force, detectives from Arlington and Waltham decided to charge Andrea Koutis, a 30-year-old Arlington woman, and Erik Stout, 35, of Somerville, in connection with Tuesday's bank robberies in these towns. Koutis and Stout were held overnight at the State Police Brighton Barracks on $100,000 cash bail each.
