Arlington Woman Allegedly Points Knife, Glares at Passengers on MBTA Bus

The alleged incident took place in East Arlington.

An Arlington woman allegedly pulled out a small pocket knife on an MBTA bus in East Arlington last Friday afternoon and used it to intimidate her fellow passengers, including middle school students. The passengers told police that the woman, who police identified as 54-year-old Deborah Canejo, pointed the knife at them and glared at them. One witness said Canejo told an individual to “get off the bus” and then said something to the effect of “go back to where you belong.” Canejo was arrested shortly after the incident at about 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon.
