The suspect robbed the Citizens Bank in the Heights at about 9:50 a.m. Thursday and then fled on foot, according to police.
Arlington Police are asking for the public’s help in solving Thursday’s bank robbery at Citizens Bank in the Heights. Police have described the suspect (pictured) as a white male, approximately 5-foot-6. He was wearing a maroon baseball hat, dark hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and light colored sneakers during the robbery, which police responded to at about 9:52 a.m. He also disguised himself by wearing sunglasses and covering the lower portion of his face with a dark scarf, according to police. Bank employee says all services should be working once again.
Updated at 12:29 p.m. A Citizens Bank employee in Arlington said a computer system outage that left several bank services down this morning has been resolved. The Arlington employee, who was fielding customer questions over the phone, said the glitch was fixed a bit before 12:30 p.m. Despite the down time, customers could still take money out of ATMs, but they were unable to see their balance. Tellers also could not look at customer profiles. Online banking was down as well. All services should be back up, according to the Arlington employee. Citizens Bank has two locations in Arlington, one in Arlington Center and one in Arlington Heights.
