You Pick: Best Auto Repair Shop in Arlington

Take our poll and pick Arlington's best auto repair shop.

D'Agostino's Wins Best of Patch for Sandwiches

Manager says he's "grateful for customer base." Find out the topic of next week's Best Of Patch poll.

The results are in and D'Agostino's Food Stores was named the best place for a sandwich in Arlington in last week's Best of Patch poll. D'Agostino's received 40 percent of the votes and edged out Francesca's Kitchen, which finished second with 14 percent of votes. "We are grateful for our customers," manager Sammy D'Agostino said Friday, when he found out about the poll results.  D'Agostino said the deli's staple sandwich is the Italian Sub—mortadella, provolone cheese, genoa salami and capicola on Piantedosi bread. "D'Agostino's Deli is the best," Patch reader Ann Burns said. Cynthia Costa, on Facebook, added, "I totally agree that D'Agostino's is the best in Arlington!!!" Now, Patch Places is a spot where users can find descriptions, hours, accepted payment methods and much more for spots around town. All users can add events taking place at local spots, can rate the business on a scale of one to five stars, and can add a review. But owners of local businesses get extra bonuses when they claim a listing. Owners or managers should search for their business listing and select "claim you listing" in order to make updates to the page. A form will pop up asking for your name, contact information, and proof of ownership. Within a few days, someone from Patch should contact you to verify …

Peabody Properties to Manage Historic Capitol Square Apartments

Real estate firm to oversee restoration of historic property in Arlington.

Editor's note: The following information comes from a Peabody Properties press release. Peabody Properties—a full-service, Braintree-based real estate company—will assume management of the Capitol Square Apartments in Arlington. The property, 252 Massachusetts Ave., consists of 32 apartments in three buildings and was built circa 1912. Restoration plans are currently underway.  Peabody Properties will oversee and manage this renovation project and officials said the company is committed to ensuring that the classic design and historic detail of the buildings remain intact.
