Three Arlington residents were arrested Tuesday on charges of domestic assault and battery: Harry C. Kwan, 65; Eric C. O’Connor, 46; and Britney R. Deyesso, 25. Responding to a report showing violent crime is on the rise in Arlington, a police spokesperson said in September that the higher numbers come from an increase in domestic violence. At the time, Capt. Richard Flynn said the increase in domestic problems is usually a reflection of the overall economy. “Family life is harder now, it costs more money and people are out of work,” the captain said. “It’s a tough economic time, and that affects all kinds of paths of life.”
