Arrests in Arlington: Aug. 22-28

There were 11 arrests in Arlington from Wednesday, Aug. 22, to Tuesday, Aug. 28.

The following information comes from the Arlington Police Department. When arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. The eight individuals arrested Tuesday were captured during a warrant sweep. From the Arlington Police Department: On Tuesday Aug. 28, the Arlington Police Department conducted an arrest warrant sweep in an effort to execute outstanding arrest warrants for fugitives wanted in Arlington. Officers also worked in other cities and towns throughout Massachusetts to locate and arrest fugitives wanted for crimes committed in Arlington, who have fled the area to avoid apprehension. Working in partnership with the Middlesex Sheriff’s Department, officers formed into two teams armed with more than 90 arrest warrants …

There were four arrests in Arlington from Tuesday, Aug. 14, to Monday, Aug. 20.

The following information comes from the Arlington Police Department. When arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. Monday, Aug. 20 No arrests Sunday, Aug. 19 Robert R. Russo, 34, of Dorothy Road, Arlington, was arrested at about 1:16 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 19, on Dorothy Road and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Russo allegedly struck a male in the head with a mini Boston Red Sox souvenir baseball bat during an altercation. Russo claimed that he hit the man in self-defense, police said.
