One of the Heights’ more colorful storefronts has been replaced by a much more understated look.
I Chef is now Napoli Kitchen. The Arlington Heights pizzeria changed its name, and its look, earlier this month but remains under the same ownership. The Board of Selectmen received notice of the change from the pizza house’s owner, Neven Henen, at its Monday meeting. What’s your take? Do you like the change? Let us know by posting a comment below.

The work by National Grid is expected to go through July.
Starting today, National Grid will resume its gas infrastructure improvements on Massachusetts Avenue in Arlington Heights, according to the town. The work, which began last fall, will be taking place in the westbound lane of Massachusetts Avenue across the street from the Dunkin’ Donuts at Richardson Avenue to the Arlington Heights bus terminal, and in the southbound lane of Park Avenue, from Gold’s Gym to Paul Revere Road. The work is expected to be completed in the last week of July, and both roads should remain open at all times. However, there will be parking restrictions, so residents are being asked to observe on-street parking and traffic signs. Roadwork is scheduled for 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays in the business district and 7 a…

Starting next spring, the U.S. Postal Service will end next-day delivery of letters, postcards and other First Class mail. Will that decision change your daily life?
Come next spring, the U.S. Postal Service will end next-day delivery of letters, postcards and other First Class mail, the Huffington Post reported. In Arlington, there is still the potential for the closure of two of three post offices, which are on a list of 3,700 branches nationwide considered for closure, including 43 locations in the Boston area. The list includes the East Arlington and Arlington Heights branches and not the main branch in Arlington Center. We're wondering what Arlington residents are thinking about the U.S. Postal Service cuts. Let us know your thoughts but voting in the poll. Please feel free to leave a comment in the box below.

Review process to decide the fate of two of three post offices in town will restart from scratch.
U.S. Postal Service officials are delaying the potential closure of two of the three Arlington branches after a piece of mail didn’t go out to town residents in a timely fashion. Michael Foley, discontinuance coordinator for Boston area post offices, on Monday said a piece of mail didn’t go out in time to notify town residents about the potential closure of the U.S. Postal Service’s East Arlington and Arlington Heights branches. The two Arlington locations are on a list of 3,700 branches nationwide considered for closure, including 43 locations in the Boston area. The list does not include the Postal Service's main branch in Arlington Center. Foley said the piece of mail also contained information about a public hearing, a comment sheet …

The following information comes from the Arlington Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
An Arlington man was arrested Monday on accusations of first-offense drunken driving and using license plates belonging to a different vehicle. Arlington Police say that Robert S. Priest, 62, was stopped on Wright Street in Arlington Heights after a police officer recognized his place as belonging to another vehicle. Priest was allegedly driving an unregistered and uninsured Black Honda with the plates of a Corvette also registered to him, according to the police report. While speaking to Priest, police reported, an officer noticed the smell of alcohol coming from Priest’s breath. The man admitted to having “a couple of drinks at lunch,” according to the report. Back at the police station, a breathalyzer revealed Priest had a blood-alcohol…
