Three New Businesses Looking to Come to Arlington

All three would serve food.

Three new businesses are set to go before the Board of Selectmen Monday evening, according to the board’s agenda. Sono Restaurant, Anthony’s East Side Deli and Yummy’s will be seeking common victualler or operating licenses. Sono will also be seeking an all-alcohol license. Also on the agenda: "Selectmen to Consider Two Controversial Warrant Articles Monday" Sono Restaurant Not much was known about the applicants Thursday evening. However, Sono would serve Asian cuisine, and it’s slated for 469 Summer St. (pictured bottom), the vacant storefront across from Summer Street Field. New Deli 'Opening Soon' in East Arlington

One Arlington Patch reader appears to be getting her wish.

Signs for “Anthony’s East Side Deli” recently appeared in the storefront’s windows, and the signs say the deli is “opening soon.” The space at 159 Mass. Ave. is at the corner of Mass. Ave. and Marathon Street. That block has seen a lot of action lately, as Something Sweet Without Wheat, a new gluten/wheat free bakery, is opening at 169 Mass. Ave. on Tuesday, and the new Barismo opened at 171 Mass. Ave. on Dec. 20. The Board of Selectmen’s office closes at noon on Fridays, but we’ll have an update …
