Roadwork at Mass. Ave. and Alewife Brook Parkway
The intersection is expected to be under construction for about two weeks.
The following is from the Town of Arlington. On or shortly after Monday, September 24, the City of Cambridge’s contractor, Fred DeRoma and Sons, will begin construction work at the intersection of Mass Ave and Alewife Brook Parkway. This project involves removal of the existing concrete median, construction of a new median and plantings, and placement of a new crosswalk across Mass Ave on the Cambridge side of the parkway. This project will take approximately two weeks to complete. General work hours will be 9 am to 3 pm, Monday through Friday. Where will the panhandlers always at this intersection go during this construction? Maybe the crew will make a space for them for the future. more ›
