To some, air conditioning is a No. 1 priority in the summer months. To others, it's not needed in New England and a waste of money and energy. What side of the fence are you on?

Shouldn't there be other choices? Like, "No, my house stays cool unless a heatwave lasts longer than three days" or "No, I suffer in the name of reducing greenhouse gases" or "Yes, I have a sick pet who might die in the heat". 5 Ways to Beat the Heat in Arlington

With temperatures expected to top 100 degrees today, why not go to the beach, a spray pool, a movie, ice-cream parlor or just an air-conditioned building, all here in Arlington.

With temperatures expected to hit 101 degrees in Arlington today, the National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for all of eastern Massachusetts. Here are five ways to beat the heat: 1.) Reservoir Beach is now open. Spy Pond is not due to high levels blue-green algae. 2.) The spray pool at Lussiano Park on North Union Street is also open, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Just as an FYI, the park has no bathrooms. 3.)
