With temperatures expected to hit 101 degrees in Arlington today, the National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for all of eastern Massachusetts. Here are five ways to beat the heat: 1.) Reservoir Beach is now open. Spy Pond is not due to high levels blue-green algae. 2.) The spray pool at Lussiano Park on North Union Street is also open, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Just as an FYI, the park has no bathrooms. 3.) Shouldn't there be other choices? Like, "No, my house stays cool unless a heatwave lasts longer than three days" or "No, I suffer in the name of reducing greenhouse gases" or "Yes, I have a sick pet who might die in the heat". I mean, if you are going to be adding value judgments to the yes and no, at least give us a few more values to choose from! more ›
