Located just northeast of Thorndike Field and the Minuteman Bikeway, this park offers a sandy playground with slides,More swings and basketball court, as well as a large field for soccer or lacrosse. Popular with children and babysitters alike, the playground is often littered with buckets, dump trucks and other plastic toys.

Golfing is prohibited on the field, and organized teams must request a field permit from the Arlington Recreation Department by calling 781-316-3880. A fenced community garden is located in the north most corner of the park.

Parking on nearby Herbert Road is very limited, but additional parking can be found in a small lot off Margaret Street, between Magnolia and Thorndike fields.

Owned by a local couple with previous gift shop experience, Maxima Gift Center has been in Arlington for 13 years.More   In the home section one can find specialty soaps, mini pepper mills and unique pottery.  The stationery section has cards, papers and books.  The children's section has a large book selection as well as some clothes and toys geared mainly towards babies, toddlers and preschoolers.  There is also a jewelry section, which comprises some of the store's most popular items.  As the focus is on handmade goods by small artisans, the inventory changes frequently, making the shopping experience fresh for frequent visitors.
