Though currently closed while undergoing renovations, the Arlington Veterans Memorial Ice Rink is due to re-open byMore September 2010 and will be available for public skates and party rentals through March. The regulation-size rink is also home to Arlington Hockey and Figure Skating Association, Arlington High School, Arlington Catholic High School and a variety of other groups

Dearborn Academy is a day school serving children in elementary, middle and high school with emotional, behavioralMore and learning difficulties. Dearborn Academy is a program of Schools for Children, a non-profit organization committed to creating and sustaining high quality schools, curricula and other education programs and services. Howard Rossman is the school's director.

Dearborn Academy began in the 1940's as the first of Lesley "home-grown" lab schools. Known as the Cambridge Town School, it provided remedial education to students who were failing in their public schools. Over the next three decades, additional lab schools were developed, and in 1982, following a move to Arlington, the schools were consolidated into a single entity: Dearborn Academy.

W.A. Peirce Fields

Located behind Arlington High School on Massachusetts Avenue, the Peirce athletic fields are open to the public fromMore sunrise to sundown, except when in use by the schools or by users with field permits. The facilities include an Astroturf field, six lane track, a baseball diamond and smaller softball diamond, a multi-purpose practice field and two basketball courts. Tennis courts are available across Grove Street at Wellington Park.

The high school athletic facilities have a long list of prohibitions, including: colored beverages, sunflower seeds, tobacco, gum, pets, golf, bicycles, roller skates, skate boards, noisemakers and confetti.

Parking is available in a lot off Mill Brook Drive.
