Bicyclist Crashes into Honda CRV A bicyclist and the driver of a Honda CRV went back and forth on Forest Street Saturday evening until the bicyclist ran into the back of the CRV and fell down. The bicyclist said that he and the driver may have both been cutting each other off up until the time of the crash, at about 6:50 p.m. He said that when the driver slowed down at the construction area on Forest Street, he ran into the vehicle’s back bumper. Driver Allegedly Assaulted by Pedestrian in Crosswalk A driver told police that he was assaulted by a male pedestrian at about 6:50 p.m. Wednesday after he stopped to let the man cross the street at the crosswalk at the corner of Bacon and Mill streets. The driver said he was traveling down Bacon Street at a “reasonable rate of speed” when he stopped “several feet” before the crosswalk at Mill Street to let the man cross. Redheaded Male Allegedly Poses as Police Officer Four friends were driving south on Park Avenue shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday, May 12, when they were pulled over by a gray or silver four-door sedan (possibly an older Ford vehicle) with blue flashing lights on its dash and front grill, they told police. A 52-year-old woman is accused of breaking into the residence adjacent to Busa Farms.
An Arlington woman was arrested earlier today, Monday, May 14, after allegedly entering a home next door to Busa Farms in East Lexington. According to a police report, officers responded to a Lowell Street residence for a reported housebreak and found a man arguing with an unknown woman he allegedly found inside his home. The woman, later identified as Sandra Abboud, 52, of 27 Fox Meadow Lane, Arlington, was arrested and charged with breaking and entering in the daytime with the intent to commit a felony. The man and woman reportedly first exchanged words as she looked at flowers outside the Busa Farms farmstand, but he only involved the police after finding her inside his home, in the hallway area between the side entrance and kitchen. …

Two of the victims were "seriously injured," according to a Somerville Fire Department district chief.
Four people were sent to the hospital on body boards, and another three were also sent to the hospital after a Thursday evening rollover accident on Mystic Valley Parkway in Somerville, just blocks from the Arlington town line. The accident happened at about 5:20 p.m. at the intersection of Mystic Valley Parkway (Route 16) and Boston Avenue, near the borders of Arlington and Medford. Somerville and Medford fire departments responded to the scene along with police departments from both communities and Massachusetts State Police. Police officers closed off nearby sections of Route 16 and Boston Avenue so emergency personnel could attend to the victims. Father Notices Electrical Fire, Calls 911 and Takes Sleeping Baby Outside A father noticed smoke coming from the wall thermostat in his Pleasant Street home at about 6:15 p.m. Wednesday. He then called 911, grabbed his sleeping baby and fled the apartment, police said.
