Brian M. “Muzz” Murray, an Arlington arborist who owned Tree and Land Trust and a local youth and amateur sports coach, died suddenly at his home on Thursday, March 14, according to his obituary on the Doherty Funeral Service website. He was 52. Murray, an Arlington resident for most of his life, had two sons, Nicholas, of Arlington, and Paul, of Lexington. Murray, an Arlington High School graduate, class of 1980, also lived in Lexington for several years. On the Tree and Land Trust website, Murray is listed as an arborist, horticulturist and environmentalist. Mary was born Aug. 25, 1956 to Arnold Doyle and Frances Russell Doyle in Boston and grew up in Watertown and Weston. Mary earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts School of Public Health and worked for several years as a microbiologist and then environmental scientist in both Massachusetts and Texas. In 1986, after earning a master's degree from Harvard University School of Public Health she worked for the consulting firm, Metcalf and Eddy, advancing to the position of project manager doing risk assessments and hazardous clean-ups.
