Named for John Q. A. Brackett, former governor of Massachusetts who resided in Arlington throughout his tenure as governor, the first Brackett School was built in 1931.The school, in the heart of Arlington Heights, encourages its students to deeply engage with the community and sponsors art shows, encourages parent participation and collaborations. Set on top of a hill overlooking Boston, the school features a playground both on the grounds and one across the street as well.
