Saadia Ali, a 14-year-old from Arlington, was the highest youth fundraiser at the 2013 Walk for Hunger, according to an email from Project Bread.

Ali raised $4,500 for hunger relief programs and received Project Bread’s “Outstanding Youth Fundraiser Award.” She also became a member of the organization’s Heart & Sole Circle and Leadership Circle.

“I want to thank so many people who helped get me to this point,” Ali said in her acceptance speech at Project Bread’s Walk Celebration and Awards Ceremony at Boston’s Museum of Science.
