Press Release - Sheff Campaign's New Head of Social Media Networking

Vote for Sheff on November 6.

The Committee to Elect Tom Sheff is pleased to announce an addition to his campaign staff for Governor's Council/District 3.  Nancy Brown, a pioneer in social media managing, will be the head of the campaign's social media networking. Brown has founded many websites, like yourmilitary.com (1998), yourmilitaryjobs.com (2004) and fasttweets.com (2008).

Brown has worked on social media for various recording artists. While most artists have a non-disclosure agreement, Brown has worked for Dave Tolliver from Men at-Large and Marc Gordon from Levert.

"I am extremely excited over the campaign's addition of Nancy Brown," Sheff said.  "I am looking forward to seeing the energy, ideas and name recognition she will bring to the campaign."

"I understand the power of social media and know how to assist Tom in connecting with the local residents of District 3. Tom has embraced social media and that is what excites me," said Brown.

When asked "why Sheff?"  Brown responded, "I wanted to work on Tom Sheff's team because he is dedicated to make the best decisions for District 3 on the Governor's Council. I have seen how he connects  with the residents of Massachusetts and understands what needs to be done to keep the community safe."

The Massachusetts Governor’s Council provides advice and consent to the Governor of Massachusetts, particularly about judicial nominations, justices of the peace and criminal pardons. The Council is comprised of eight councilors representing eight districts. The third district covers several communities, including Newton, Belmont, Brookline, Waltham, Watertown and parts of Lexington, Wellesley, Cambridge and Boston.

Over the next several months Sheff will be meeting with as many voters and community groups as possible to discuss his candidacy.
