Details on Loukoumaki Bakery's Replacement

Za’atar, a Middle Eastern/Armenian bakery, is set to replace Loukoumaki Bakery at 916 Mass. Ave. in Arlington.

The Arlington Board of Selectmen granted Za’atar’s owner, Andre Stepanian, an operating license for his new business Monday night.

Stepanian, who was born in Lebanon and resides in Waltham, is new to the food business. Za’atar’s proposed hours are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday-Saturday.

Loukoumaki Bakery closed fairly recently. The storefront at 916 Mass. Ave. is at the corner of Mass. Ave. and Highland Avenue, across from Stop & Shop.
