School Committee Takes Moment of Silence for Dawn Moses

Moses died Wednesday. She was 46.

Dawn Anne Jahn Moses, a local mother and Arlington Education Foundation board member, died Wednesday. She was 46.

School Committee member Judson Pierce announced her passing at Thursday’s meeting and requested a moment of silence in her honor.

‘A huge loss for all of us.’

The Arlington Education Foundation also remembered Moses Thursday with a short passage on its Facebook page. “Today we mourn the passing of AEF board member Dawn Moses. We will miss her piercing intelligence, her sense of humor and her commitment to the children of Arlington. A huge loss for all of us,” it read.

Services for Moses will be private. However, Pierce said there are plans to celebrate her life sometime in July. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Center on Family Homelessness in her honor, he said.
