“Emma is a force to be reckoned with both in and out of the classroom,” according to a release from the school. “Her nearly perfect transcript and membership in the National Honor Society is proof of her initiative to challenge her intellect and be the best she can be in the classroom.

“This same drive is evident on the basketball court. Since her freshman year, Emma has been on the basketball team and has worked as a team player to bring success to her teammates. Her hustle on the court has allowed her to score 1,211 points over her four-year basketball career. Her passion for basketball drove her to play AAU basketball in tandem with her varsity career.

“Besides shining on the basketball court, Emma shone on the soccer field as well, being a member of the varsity team since freshman year.

“Emma will be attending Tufts University next year and is sure to be a star both in the classroom and on the court.”

Roberson was named as one of the Boston Globe’s “Athletes of the Year” for girls’ basketball at the end of her senior season. She was also named Catholic Central League MVP, as she averaged 19.5 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. In addition to playing basketball and soccer, she is also a mid-distance runner on the school’s outdoor track team.
