Travel to Guinea

We want to make sure everyone is aware that DrumConnection is traveling... to Guinea! Yes, our yearly trip is ON for November 2012. That is coming up soon!

Trip to Africa 2012

Boston area's DrumConnection is hosting an unforgettable journey to the birthplace of the djembe. In this 17+ day trip you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the music and culture of Guinea. Study drum and dance, attend festivals and celebrations, learn about the country and its people and discover the magic that IS Africa!

Become much more proficient on the djembe and dunun, the songs and dances. We'll even offer balafone studies and Fula flute lessons as time permits. A few side trips to paradise islands and to a famous marketplace will be very memorable, as well.

If you always wanted to travel to Africa to study the traditional music of the Malinke, Sousou and Fulani people, where djembe and dunun was born, please consider joining us! We'll make it doable for you. We take care of everything but we need to start NOW!

The trip is planned for the third week of November 2012 and will be about 2 1/2 weeks. Please visit our website for details. http://www.triptoafrica.org Please get your information now. We will help you with your pre-trip needs.
