Hardy School Principal Deborah D’Amico will retire at the end of this school year, Arlington Superintendent Kathleen Bodie announced Thursday.
Bodie spoke glowingly of D’Amico at Thursday’s School Committee meeting.
“We’re happy for her,” Bodie said. “She’s had a lifetime dedicating herself to the education of children. She’ll be missed by her school and the parents and the whole administrative team. She is such a valued member of our community.”
Bodie said D’Amico recently let her school community know. She said the district would soon be starting a search for her replacement.
