Arlington Public Schools’ MCAS Appeal Successful

The district got both the overall district and Ottoson Middle School bumped up a level.

The Arlington Public Schools successfully appealed the state Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to get the overall district and Ottoson Middle School bumped up levels on the state’s MCAS accountability reports.

The district and Ottoson were both moved from level 3 to level 2 after the district’s appeal.

On the accountability reports, the state designates districts and schools with a 1-5 level, 1 being the highest performing, 5 the lowest, based on the MCAS results.
