Arlington Home of the Week: 125 Sylvia St.

This impeccably maintained home and tranquil neighborhood is an ideal condominium alternative.

This meticulously-kept ranch on Sylvia St. may appear compact from the initial curbside evaluation, and while that may be true in terms of maintenance, for comfort and versatility, this home just can't be beat. With 1,360 square feet of common living space and sleeping quarters spread throughout two finished levels, this property can adapt to many potential owners and even more diverse lifestyles.

The front entry opens into an impressive 23 x 10 square foot living room with a brick fireplace and a picture window drenching the space of warm, rich crimson walls with natural sunlight. The neighboring 12 x 10 square foot eat-in kitchen is an open, fluid culinary center with wood cabinets, hardwood floors and a great breakfast bar for quick meals and a lovely 10 x 10 square foot dining area for more formal seating. This level also includes a spacious 11 x 13 square foot master bedroom, an 11 x 11 square foot second bedroom and a full bath for convenient single-floor living.

The finished lower level offers a third bedroom at 10 x 12 square feet and another full bath, a 9 x 12 square foot playroom, a home office with a sink and cabinets and an 11 x 13 square foot laundry area. This floor could also be utilized as a teenager or in-law alternative.

This property is handily located near public transportation, shopping, restaurants and the Minuteman Bikeway and in its current move-in condition, all these resources and many more can be utilized and enjoyed immediately. This home is an ideal condominium alternative for residents who prefer the privacy of a single-family home without the burden of structural renovations or extensive maintenance. Just unpack and enjoy!
