1.) The Board of Selectmen will meet at 7:15 p.m. tonight in the Selectmen’s Chambers on the second floor of Town Hall. The board will discuss “Wings Over Arlington” and Hurricane Sandy, among other items, according to its agenda.
2.) After an impressive 11-4-3 regular season, the ninth-seeded Arlington High girls’ soccer team lost 3-0 at No. 9 Belmont Sunday in the first round of the Division 2 North bracket. The No. 17 Arlington Catholic girls’ soccer team beat No. 16 Swampscott 1-0 Friday on the road in the preliminary round of the bracket, before falling 5-2 Sunday to undefeated Amesbury, the bracket’s top seed.
3.) The Arlington Catholic girls’ volleyball team earned the No. 2 seed in the Division 2 North bracket with an 18-2 regular season record. The Cougars will open postseason play at home against No. 7 O’Bryant at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
