Flanagan finished a "solid third" in the last election... If Curro had done the right thing and stepped down from his post when he decided to run for BoS, Flanagan would be in now... Give it to Flanagan!!! He already won it in the election...

Hold a special election for the vacant seat. It is absurd that the school committee is able to appoint a new member for a full year.

That's not how things work. Had Curro stepped down then those votes would have been up for grabs. You are divining the intent of the voters by suggesting that Flanagan should get it since he came in third. There is no reason not to hold another election for this vacant seat.
