Sierra Club Endorses Dave Rogers for State Rep.

The environmental organization recently backed the Democratic candidate from Cambridge in the 24th Middlesex District race.

The following is from the Committee to Elect Dave Rogers.

Sept. 24, 2012 -- The Massachusetts chapter of the Sierra Club, the nation's largest and oldest grassroots environmental organization, has endorsed Dave Rogers in his campaign to fill the newly-vacated Middlesex 24th district, comprising Belmont as well as parts of both Arlington and North Cambridge.

"Dave Rogers has a strong history of working to protect and preserve the environment. Dave proved his commitment to finding and implementing innovative solutions to climate change through his work with the Environmental Protection Agency, prosecuting corporate polluters, and serving as senior management at a clean energy company designing software to reduce the electrical impact of large buildings," Phil Sego, Political Chair of the Massachusetts Sierra Club said. "Rogers understands the environmental issues facing Massachusetts and how to start solving them. We look forward to working with him in the State Legislature."
