Sciortino, Father Appear on MSNBC’s ‘Hardball’

See why Chris Matthews brought them on the show.

Congressional candidate Carl Sciortino’s new ad, where he comes out to his Tea Party father as a “Massachusetts Liberal,” has gained him national exposure.

The ad, which garnered more than 300,000 YouTube views in its first week, got the state representative and his father spots on a number of national shows, including MSNBC’s “Hardball with Chris Matthews” (above), and in a number of publications, as well as some endorsements.

Sciortino, 35, a fifth term representative from Medford, is one of seven Democrats running for now U.S. Sen. Ed Markey’s old 5th Congressional seat – State Sen. Will Brownsberger, State Sen. Katherine Clark, Middlesex Sheriff Peter Koutoujian, State Sen. Karen Spilka, Arlington’s Martin Long and Stoneham’s Paul John Maisano being the others.
